The Challenge of Finding the Perfect Venue in London
If you’ve ever found yourself searching for a venue in London for a corporate event, you’ll know just how challenging this can be. From five star hotels and floating restaurants to rooftop terraces and historic houses, our capital is bursting at the seams with venues to suit every taste and budget, but where do you begin when there are just so many to choose from? Add to this the constant creation of new properties and the renovation of existing ones, and the whole process can quickly become pretty daunting!
Staying Updated with London’s Dynamic Venue Scene
An important element of my role at PLE is keeping up to speed with those venues in our capital that are undergoing investment or that are totally new to the market. New venues will often incorporate the latest in design and technology, offering state-of-the-art facilities and innovative spaces whereas venues undergoing refurbishment may re-emerge with upgraded facilities, improved interiors and expanded capacities that better meet the needs of my clients. When researching venues in London, I make it a priority to try and visit as many in person as possible; not only does this allow me to recommend venues based on firsthand experience but it also gives me the opportunity to meet with the events teams face-to-face and establish a working relationship which benefits us all!

Broadwick Studios: A Hub of Modern Event Technology
If cutting edge technology and contemporary event space is on your wish-list, take a look at Broadwick Studios in Canary Wharf which opened towards the end of 2023. Perfect for pop-up events, networking drinks or workshops, the multi-functional and versatile space can accommodate up to 120 delegates. As they say themselves, they are ‘wholly committed to fostering bespoke and unforgettable events’ which is a big tick for me!
73 Waterloo at St John’s: Where History Meets Modern Elegance
For those that prefer a venue with a little history behind it, then 73 Waterloo at St John’s is well worth checking out. Following a multi-million pound renovation, this award-winning historic and sustainable venue offers an impressive choice of event spaces as well as a beautiful garden – all nestled in the heart of Waterloo. Combining elegance and charm, there’s a very good reason why this fabulous venue was a finalist at the London Venue and Catering Awards for Best New or Refurbished Venue and Best Christmas Party Venue in 2023!
Raffles London at The OWO: Luxury and Heritage Combined
Another shiny new property to open in the capital is Raffles London at the OWO – the first property in the UK for Raffles Hotels & Resorts. Originally the Edwardian Old War Office in Whitehall, the ‘destination’ venue now boasts 120 rooms and suites, a spectacular Guerlain Spa plus three magnificent dining experiences by acclaimed chef Mauro Colagreco. This stunning property really does offer event planners a taste of luxury, situated within walking distance of Buckingham Palace, St. James’s Park, and the cultural hubs of Westminster, Soho, and Covent Garden.
