With only a few weeks to go until the big day, it’s that time of year when hospitality really is at its busiest and the festive party season is soon to be in full swing.
Expert Tips from the CHS Show: Booking the Office Christmas Party
I recently led some sessions in the PA Lounge at the CHS show in Birmingham where I shared my thoughts around the task of booking the office Christmas party, when might be the best time to start thinking about it and what kind of packages and themes are available as well as challenges that may be faced when it comes to booking. It is clear that one size does not fit all when it comes to planning the perfect party but what is important is making connections, making memories and having fun.
Why Early Booking for Christmas Parties is a Game-Changer
When it comes to festive party planning, we all know that there’s a whole host of benefits from booking early and securing your party date ahead of the crowds; not only will you have more choice when it comes to venues, but the earlier the book, the more likely you are to get the date you really want. Whilst in an ideal world we would all be super organized and have our Christmas ducks in a row, we all know that this isn’t always possible and circumstances out of our control can sometimes mean that it can get to mid-November and we are still looking!! Eek!
Last-Minute Christmas Party Options: There’s Still Time!
Whilst some of the early-bird incentives may have already expired, there are still some fabulous options available out there if you know where to look. RSA House, for example, is one of London’s most iconic and sought-after Christmas party venues and has various lunchtime and evening December dates still available in their Vaults and/or Great Room which can accommodate an impressive 220 guests. Alternatively, you might like the idea of opting for a themed ‘Joiner’ party night where you share the evening with other companies? The fabulous Royal Armouries in Leeds have two different offerings this year and also still have some availability left throughout December.

It’s also worth remembering that some venues also now offer their packages well into January so you can extend the party season and give your team something to look forward to when everything falls a little flat post-Christmas. The newly re-opened Auberge du Lac at Brocket Hall is offering a festive four course menu until the end of December at their stunning lakeside restaurant; as they say themselves, the restaurant is charming all year around but promises to be extra atmospheric at Christmas with cosy corners and twinkly views across the estate.
