The Importance of Industry Exhibitions for Event Professionals
Spring is notoriously a super busy time for me when it comes to venue finding for clients and attending industry-specific exhibitions. We all know that attending live exhibitions is essential when it comes to maintaining relationships, developing new connections, and learning about new venues and initiatives but with so many on the radar, it can sometimes be tricky to know which ones to set the time aside to visit.
Why The BNC Show is a Calendar Highlight for Park Lane Events
One industry event that I always make time to go to is the Business Networking Club (BNC) Show that takes place biannually in London. With their first date of 2024 taking place on April 16th at Central Hall, Westminster, this show markets itself as ‘the show #eventprofs recommend’ and after attending and even speaking at this event, I wholeheartedly agree. Not only is the show renowned throughout the industry for bringing together a variety of engaging exhibitors and event organisers for one fun and focussed day but as the majority of my clients are London based as are many of the venues they book, this show really does tick all the boxes for me.
Top 5 Reasons to Attend The BNC Show
Here are five reasons why I shall be attending and why I think you should also pop the date in your diary!
-
Unparalleled Networking Opportunities
With 100s of unique and exciting companies all available under one roof, the BNC allows me to meet face-to-face and chat with contacts at the properties, suppliers, and event-related businesses in a relaxed and fun atmosphere (and anyone who knows me, knows that I do love a good catch up about a venue!) I think we all appreciate how vital human connections are when it comes to building and sustaining relationships (particularly post-pandemic) and something that we should embrace at every opportunity.
-
Educational Seminars to Broaden Your Knowledge
There’s always a really varied and informative programme of educational seminars at the BNC show which provide the perfect opportunity for me to learn from experts on a whole range of topics, trends, and tech that have an impact on the events industry. It’s often difficult to keep up to date with changes and innovations and this allows me to bring myself up to speed on who is doing what, where, and when, so that I can then pass this information onto my clients (especially as most of my clients don’t have the time to attend exhibitions such as this – they are too busy running their event and are relying on me to keep them updated!)
-
Complimentary Catering for All-day Energy
Complimentary catering is available all day for visitors – need I say anymore?! From delicious breakfast, elevenses, lunch, and afternoon tea options offered along with drinks, the BNC team is very good at keeping their attendees fully fuelled and energised throughout the day. I love the fact that they not only provide food and beverages for the attendees but for the exhibitors too, which doesn’t happen at most exhibitions.
-
Appreciation of Your Time with Luxury Draw and Gifts
The team behind the show understands that our time is precious, and they really do appreciate that we all take time out of our busy schedules to attend. Every attendee is entered into a luxury prize draw as well as being sent home with a token gift which can be individual or a donation to a charity.
-
Central Location and Ease of Access
The show is held in a fabulous location and is so easy to get to! Taking place on April 16th between 9am and 4pm at Central Hall Westminster in London, this iconic venue overlooks Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, and the Houses of Parliament and is only a short walk from several underground and rail stations.
